Can someone please create an IPA or DEB file for jailbroken phones? I don't have a mac to install xcode. There is another iOS pokescanner like this at https://github.com/ruffnecktsk/pokemap_live_ios that has an IPA file and it worked fine for me so I know its possible..Thanks!

commented Jul 27, 2016

I uploaded an iPA file of the latest version of the app.
I don't have any iDevice Jailbroken so can you try to install it ?

commented Jul 27, 2016

I also added a deb file.

commented Jul 28, 2016

I couldn't install either of them. forget about the deb file. I dont think that will work. The app crashes on opening after installing the IPA, I think this means the code-signing is not proper. I don't know if you know how to make this work or not, its not a big deal if you can't. I guess us non mac users can borrow a mac from a friend to make it work, thanks man

I know how to bypass code-signing but you need a Jailbroken device to run Clutch on it..

commented Jul 28, 2016

Hi, i have a jailbroken iphone and would like to install this. How can I use clutch to install it?
Thanks

commented Jul 29, 2016

Please google the new code signing tool from 'Saurik'. I have successfully sideloaded this using that. It requires an apple account.

I used App Sync Unified with iFilza and successfully got it to show on the home screen(using the iOS V2 file) but when I went to open the app is says 'this beta is expired' @omidzargham Do you have any ideas?

commented Jul 31, 2016

@AppleTechy forget all that app sync stuff. Just follow the new readme's instructions using cydia impactor. worked for me. Also that 'beta expired' message came up for me when I lost my jailbreak for rebooting my device, since the newest jailbreak is semi-tethered. Try rejailbreaking. and following the new instructions with cydia impactor. By the way thanks @istornz cause it works!!

@omidzargham I was in jailbreak 'mode' when I got that 'beta expired' message. If I side load via Cydia impactor won't I have to reload it every 7 days since I currently don't pay the $99 for a Developer account? That was why I was trying to mess with App Sync so I didn't have to worry about it expiring. Plus I rarely reboot my phone anyway with the new jailbreak since I don't like us into mess with the semi-tether app.

commented Aug 1, 2016

I believe the issue I am running into('beta expired') had something to do with how the IPA was created as I have been successful in downloading other ipa files with a successful install an running process. Doing nothing different than I did for iPokeGo

Try this plz : https://github.com/istornz/iPokeGo/wiki/Installing-iPokeGO-with-any-computer-(Windows,-Mac-and-Linux)-easily-!

There is a new IPA file, try to download it and install it with AppSync

commented Aug 1, 2016

If it's the v2 from yesterday, the same thing is occurring. None of the ipas install with AppSync, and the deb will not install either.

I have tried installing 2.0.1 and it still says Beta Expired. I am on 9.3.3 btw.

commented Aug 2, 2016

If someone can install the IPA file with Impactor and run Clutch or any script like this to bypass code sign It would be appreciable :)

Cydia Impactor Not Working

I installed it with impactor just fine. Now have to wait the 7 days to see
if it expires or if App Sync will bypass the limit

I had trouble with code signing on repackaging the IPA. In place of that I created a working deb. You just have to make sure you respring. Then no cert required.

@peacefulreason ; tried the DEB alone. (installed on iphone 6 ios9.0 using iFile installer. It is showing as installed in Cydia, but no icon appears on my iphone homescreens?

Was i meant to install both the IPA and DEB at the same time?
Thanks

commented Aug 3, 2016

@kabeern You have to respring after. I had to respring twice actually. I assume the uicache isn't being cleared. It will pop up if you do this. I had the same thing happen. No need to install the IPA.

Sql Loader Control File

@peacefulreason ; Can you tell me how to create the working deb? Just want one for 2.2

commented Sep 9, 2016

@tyt11123 Sorry, I didn't see this comment. If memory servers me, I sideloaded the IPA, copied the folder into the proper folder structure for DEBs, and created the control file, then ran DPKG on the folder.

I close this issue.

When you jailbreak your device, you don’t always have to rely on Cydia to get all your software.

Sometimes a developer might send you a Debian (.deb) package to install for beta testing, or if you’re talented in the arts of programming, you can make your own .deb packages to install on your device for yourself.

Some of you may have been accustomed to using the antiquated SSH method for eons now, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but there’s actually an easier way to install .deb files on your devices.

Veteran jailbreakers are probably already very aware of how to do this, but to benefit everyone who may be newer to jailbreaking, we’ve thrown together a few steps you can follow to make life easier.

Without even needing to SSH into your device, you can simply use the popular iFile file system browser app from Cydia to install .deb files. This method only takes a few taps on the device itself and is undoubtedly easier to follow, especially for those newer to jailbreaking.

To install .deb files with iFile, you’ll only need to follow these steps:

1) Download and install iFile from Cydia on your jailbroken iPhone or iPad if you don’t already have it; it’s a free download.

2) From your computer, email the .deb file to one of the email accounts present on your jailbroken device.

3) Now refresh your email on your jailbroken device from the Mail app, and the .deb file will appear as an attachment with the iFile icon on it. Tap on the attachment.

4) When the iOS share sheet pops up, tap on the Copy to iFile option.

5) iFile will now launch and attempt to open the .deb file. In the pop-up menu, tap on the Installer button.

iFile will now go through the process of installing the .deb file. This should only take a couple of seconds, but time varies depending on how old your device is due to speed differences in the CPU.

You will now get one of two outcomes: 1) the installer will finish with the result code 0, or 2) the installer will finish with a result code besides 0.

If you got the result code of 0, then you’re good to go and you can respring or reboot your device to complete the installation of the .deb file. If you got a result code besides 0, then there was a problem with the installation.

How To Use Cydia Impactor

In the case of result code 256 shown above, this just means the .deb file (tweak) depended on another package to be installed and it wasn’t already on our device. By looking at the white text shown above, iFile tells us that we need to install AppList from Cydia, which was a dependency required to run this tweak.

If you simply go to Cydia and install whatever dependency was declared by the installer and then respring or reboot your device, you’ll be good to go.
